First, the
New
Testament
source;
Luke 11, 1-4
(after
AV/KJV)
After Jesus
had been
praying in a
certain
place one of
his
disciples
said to him,
‘Lord teach
us to pray,
as John
taught his
disciples.’
And he said
to them,
‘When you
pray, say:
Our Father
in heaven,
Hallowed be
your name.
Your kingdom
come.
Your will be
done in
earth, as it
is in
heaven.
Give us day
by day our
daily bread.
And forgive
us our sins,
as we
forgive
everyone who
is indebted
to us.
And lead us
not into
temptation,
but deliver
us from
evil.
Matthew 6,
13 (after
AV/KJV)
For yours is
the kingdom,
and the
power, and
the glory,
for ever.
